There are a few key considerations to keep in mind both before and after breast lift surgery, that will help you have a speedy recovery. Tell Dr. Trenton C. Your post-operative bleeding risk could be higher if you are on an aspirin regimen or take certain anti-inflammatory medications.
You will need to be sedated throughout the duration of the breast lift procedure. This means you will need to avoid eating or drinking after midnight the day before surgery. You should also arrange to have a friend or family member drive you and help out at home to help out at home for a few days while you get back on your feet. You will need to take some time off from work and avoid strenuous activities for at least a week after the breast lift.
On the day of the procedure, you should dress in loose fitting clothes to help make dressing and moving easier. After the surgery we will provide you with a post-operative bra.
It’s not uncommon for there to be a little post-operative bleeding, this might involve a small tube inserted through an incision to help improve draining. After the breast lift Dr. Trenton C. Jones, M.D. will explain to you how to properly care for it and any stitches, bandages or dressings.
